The Senate on Wednesday gave up its function on the amendment of the sequence of elections in the country.
The resolution was reached at plenary on yesterday.
President Muhammadu Buhari had refused to append his signature to the amended Electoral Act bill as sent to him through the National Assembly.
At the same time the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) desires the presidential election to hold first, the National Assembly needs it reversed to come first.
Buhari had in his letter to the National Assembly given the change of sequence of elections as one of the vital motives for his refusal to signal the invoice into regulation.
