A renewed cult conflict within the weekend has reportedly claimed five lives, including the two folks killed in Auchi, Etsako West regional executive area (LGA) when two suspected rival cult organizations clashed. It was gathered that a medicine store retailer proprietor along Igbei street and a generator mechanic were among the many dead victims of the clash. The Deputy Majority Leader of Nigeria’s House of Representatives Umar Baba Jibril has died in the early hours of Friday in Abuja, two weeks after a senator Ali Wakili passed away.
Jibril represented Lokoja/Kogi Federal constituency. He was 58.
The cause of his death has yet to be ascertained
One of Jibril’s political associates Amuda Dan Sulaiman, who confirmed his death, did not disclose the cause of his death.
A three time member of the house, Jibril was former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly.
